Walt Disney World Prepares to Celebrate Easter

Easter is just a few weeks away! Wow! The Walt Disney World Resort is getting ready to celebrate the event in a big way! Here’s what you can expect to experience during your Easter vacation. First, at the Magic Kingdom, Mr, and Mrs. Easter Bunny will be on hand to meet guests beginning March 14. Guests will find them in the Town Square Courtyard everyday through March 27 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

In addition, Guests will also be able to catch the Easter Bunnies in a special pre-parade taking place on March 26 and 27. The pre-parade will take place prior to the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and will also include the fan-favorite, Azalea Trail Maids.

Speaking of the Azalea Trail Maids, Guests will also find them around Town Square throughout the day on March 27.

For those looking to catch the Festival of Fantasy Parade, you’ll be able to do so twice daily from March 28-31. Once at 12:00 p.m. and once at 3:00 p.m.

Finally, for those looking to dance throughout the day at the Magic Kingdom, a DJ Dance Party will take place in Tomorrowland at the Rockettower Plaza Stage. (Because you know, it isn’t a Disney party with a dance party.) The dance party will occurr from March 20-April 2 from 12:00 noon until 11:00 p.m. (The DJ will perform solo from noon until 3:00 p.m. and then from 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., characters will join in.)

In addition, as a reminder, for those who will be visiting Epcot, you can participate in the Epcot Egg-stravaganza Easter Egg Hunt. Guests are able to search around World Showcase for eggs themed after different Disney characters. I just did this the past weekend and it was a blast! The hunt was challenging, even for us adults. We may have had to ask for clues a few times. (And here’s a tip…don’t do the egg hunt in the dark…it makes it MUCH more difficult to find the eggs!)

Guests visiting Walt Disney World will also want to make sure to stop by Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, to catch the 5th Annual Easter Egg Display.  Here, Guests will be able to enjoy a number of gorgeously decorated Easter eggs created from edible material for our Guests. These Easter eggs are like works of art and will be on display throughout the first floor of the main lobby March 16–April 4.

Stay tuned to the blog as more information about spending the Easter holiday at Walt Disney World gets released!
