Is the Tangled Eclair Part of Your Best Day Ever?

Debuting today at Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom is the latest in Disney’s trend for simply gorgeous desserts — the Tangled Eclair.

This flaky eclair pastry is filled with dulce de leche cream, and then topped with a “braid” of white chocolate cream that is decorated with sugar flowers to resemble Rapunzel’s braided hair. To add to the cute factor, there’s also a small chocolate frying pan decoration.

As beautiful as it is, eclairs are meant for eating. How does this one fare? You’ll be pleased to know that it’s actually as good as it looks. You can really taste the different flavors, but they blend well together to make a really delicious eclair. One area of concern was the sugar flowers–maybe it’s too many of those stale sugar decorations that you get at the grocery store cake decorating aisle, but thankfully these aren’t hard chunks of rock-solid sugar. Instead, these sugar flowers are soft and melt in your mouth.

There’s no question that these will be popular, so make sure you grab one the next time you’re in Fantasyland. It’s money well spent for something that looks as good as it tastes.

What do you think? Is this your kind of indulgent snack? Let us know in the comments.
