Ice Pops for Grown-Ups at Epcot

Florida-based Popfusions is offering their refreshing treats at Epcot’s Italy pavilion this summer.

They have an $8.00 traditional strawberry popsicle (yummy, but $8.00?) to appease the kiddos (non-alcoholic). But the show stoppers here are the Gourmet Cocktail Pops, available in Berry Sangria (local wine with fresh berries), Sparkling Strawberry (sparkling wine with local strawberries), and Limoncello (limoncello liqueur with fresh raspberries). The limoncello pop is custom made just for Epcot’s Via Napoli. Look how pretty the whole raspberries are!

Our intrepid reporter, Christina Harrison (thanks for taking one for the team, Christina), describes the limoncello flavor as, “refreshingly piquant, with a buzz, but just a little one.” It’s the perfect pick-me-up and cool-me-down treat for a lazy stroll through the World Showcase. I mean, is it day drinking if you’re not actually drinking?

The boozy pops are $13.00 each. Again, that’s on the pricey side, but if you compare it with, say, the strawberry limoncello cocktail sold in the Via Napoli restaurant for $12.00, you’re in the same ballpark.

A word of warning, on a hot day these popsicles melt quickly. Be sure to ask for a paper cup to catch the drips.
