This Poison Apple Casts a Spell

The Trolley Car Cafe (aka the Starbucks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios) is offering a delicious dessert treat for the Halloween season – the Poison Apple.

Priced at $5.29 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit, the apple is chocolate glaze enrobing sections of chocolate mousse and apple pie filling, topped with a chocolate stem and Mickey-shaped “leaf.” Neither of the fillings is overly sweet, and they balance each other nicely, with a lovely contrast in texture. The apple sits on a biscuity cookie that’s coated with chocolate cookie crumbs. This treat is big enough to share. Its size, taste, and detailed construction make it a terrific value for the price.
