Ahoy, mateys! I’m Heather, and I’ll be bringing you the up and coming on all things Disney Cruise Line. Welcome back again this week. Let’s see what’s new in the DCL world!
Last week’s speculation of the fate of the Hawaiian and early Alaskan sailings is no longer speculation. Yesterday, Disney announced what had been widely anticipated over the last couple of weeks. Due the the proclamation by the Canadian government delaying the arrival of cruise vessels with more than 500 passengers before July 1, the Disney Wonder will remain without passengers through the end of June. These are the sailings that have been cancelled in the latest wave:
- April 29, 9-night Hawaiian from Vancouver
- May 8, 10-night Hawaiian from Honolulu
- May 18, 7-night Alaska
- May 25, 7-night Alaska
- June 1, 7-night Alaska
- June 8, 7-night Alaska
- June 15, 7-night Alaska
- June 22, 7-night Alaska
- June 29, 7-night Alaska
Just like with the previous cancellations, guests may elect for a 100% refund, or take a 125% future cruise credit. You can checkout our future cruise credit FAQ to help answer your questions!
So, that’s the second Monday in a row that has brought us an announcement. If I were a betting kind of girl, I’d say there is a pretty good chance we’ve got more on the way next week. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on the latest – and don’t forget to bookmark our COVID-19 update page for one-stop updates as well!
Meanwhile, if you are looking to bring a little cruise magic home, check out some of the new merchandise that’s recently been added to the shopDisney catalog. A DCL Spirit Jersey makes for a super cozy quarantine uniform – trust me. 😉
