5 Things to Know About The Drop Off Pool Bar
1) You Don’t Have to Be a Resort Guest to Drink

Some Disney pool bars, like the Barefoot Pool Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, are behind the pool gates. You’ll need to be a guest of the Polynesian to enjoy that location, but this isn’t the case at Disney’s Art of Animation.
The pool bar, The Drop Off, is outside of the pool gates and anyone can pop over for a drink and a snack.
2) The Drop Off Has Decent Food & Drink Selections
The Drop Off offers a few specialty cocktails and some fun pre-mixed, frozen options like the Frozen Jack & Coke for $16.50. The Pool Bar Bites on the menu above are available during opening hours, 11:00am to 10:30pm, but they offer heartier bites from 11:00am to 6:00pm. This is an excellent option for parents trying to lure their kids from the pool for a minute to get a bite of food. Not having to dry off to have lunch is one of the best parts of summer vacation, right?

5) Single Largest Hotel Pool at Walt Disney World

If you happen to be considering Art of Animation for your summer vacation, you’ll be happy to know that The Big Blue Pool is the single largest hotel pool in Walt Disney World! Liners rate the pool 4.5 out of 5 stars. The pool is heated, humongous, and the theming is outstanding. There is always fun music playing and a Cast Member is often leading games and silliness for the whole family. This means you can tag out with another adult in your party so you can grab a cocktail and the rest of your team will be well entertained in the pool.
