“The Music of Pixar LIVE” to take Place This Summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This summer, beginning May 26, a very unique concert experience will take place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! “The Music of Pixar LIVE! A Symphony of Characters” will be a limited time event that is designed to showcase the incredibly memorable music that can be found in your favorite Pixar films.
This show will include a live orchestra, as well as appearances by beloved Pixar characters including Woody, Jessie, Mike and Sulley, the Incredibles and more. Scores will be showcased beginning with Toy Story, all the way to Cars 3.
This show will be presented three times a night in the Theater of the Stars. (This is where Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage is performed. Don’t worry! Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage isn’t going anywhere! It will still be performed daily.)
Stay tuned to the blog for more information about this awesome upcoming experience.
Awesome idea! Here’s hoping they let it stick around into September, but I’m not gonna hold out hope for that.
This is a stunningly great idea, but it astounds me that, after years of continual cuts to live performers like in-park bands and Streetmosphere-style characters, that they are shelling out the money for a full orchestra! Hopefully, this financial allowance can hang around after the summer, and they can bring back some of that live entertainment. Viva el Future Corps!
Also, this means I now want Illuminations done with a live orchestra!
Illuminations with full orchestra: How amazing would that be?! I call dibs on being conductor. I’ve been conducting this music (in my car, at home) for years!!!
