Disney Cruise Line in a Jiffy: What is Cookie’s?

Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Cay private island includes three restaurants: Cookie’s, Cookie’s Too, and Serenity Bay BBQ. Cookie’s and Cookie’s Too are identical, other than their location, with Cookie’s BBQ in the center of the main Family Beach and Cookie’s Too located at the far end (away from the ship) of the Family Beach. Both are accessible via the island tram or a walk from the ship.

Typical offerings at Cookie’s and Cookie’s too include:

  • Burgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken, ribs, and veggie burgers
  • Fresh fruit, salads, and packaged chips
  • Soft-serve ice cream
  • Simple desserts (yes, Cookie’s has cookies)
  • Soft drinks

The Cookie’s and Cookie’s Too buffets also include kid-friendly options like chicken nuggets and mac & cheese. Kids and adults are all welcome to eat from any part of the menu.

Most common food allergies can be accommodated at these dining venues, with special meals arranged with advance notice. Be sure to fill out the Special Services form prior to your cruise and confirm your needs while you’re on the island.

Seating at the Castaway Cay restaurants is at covered, open-air tables and benches. Cookie’s and Cookie’s Too are both typically open for food service from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for exact times during your sailing. The restaurants can get busy during peak times; consider eating early or late to avoid crowds.

While the food is included with the cost of your cruise, alcoholic beverages are available for an additional charge at nearby bars.

The food at Serenity Bay BBQ, located on the adults-only Serenity Bay Beach, includes some overlap with the Cookie’s restaurants, but it also serves steak and possibly additional fish options.
