What’s better than strolling down Main Street U.S.A on a beautiful sunny day with your favorite Disney dish in your hands and a big smile on your face? Knowing your wallet is still full because that delicious Disney treat cost you less than $5!

When I first started researching Walt Disney World foods under $5, I thought it would be a piece of cake (both literally and figuratively)! It did prove a bit harder than I imagined when I realized that many classic Disney treats, like Mickey ice cream bars, churros, Mickey pretzels, and Cat Tails, are all slightly outside that $5 range. But, like Moana on her quest to restore the heart of Te Fiti, I persevered, and I discovered that there are still a number of delightful Disney dishes available for more the frugal foodies out there, especially for those with a sweet tooth!

Dole Whip Cup

$4.99, Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace (Magic Kingdom)

This is one classic that is still clocking in at just under $5. Available in multiple delicious flavors, including the original pineapple, plus vanilla, coconut, raspberry, orange, strawberry, and swirl combinations, this sweet treat is cool and refreshing for those hot summer days spent exploring Adventureland. If you want to upgrade to a float, you’ll have to pay extra though!

Character Cake Pop

$4.29, Main Street Confectionery (Magic Kingdom)

Though currently undergoing refurbishment, the Main Street Confectionery has always been a sweet-lover’s dream! You’ll find many enticing treats for under (or very close to) $5 amongst the colorful and chocolatey creations, like cookies, brownies, pretzels, fudge, and more. For a something portable, Instagram-able, and pure Disney, try an adorable cake pop decorated like Mickey, Minnie, or one of your other favorite characters!

School Bread

$4.49, Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe (EPCOT)

School Bread with Olaf at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

I’ll be honest, I am not a big fan of custard-y fillings, so this one doesn’t do anything for me. But I know lots of people swear by it. So, if you are a big fan of custard-y fillings, swinging by Norway for some school bread is a must. This baked good consists of a sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut. Yum?

Macaron

$4.69, L’Artisan des Glaces (Epcot)

How do you take something as good as a macaron and make it better? Put ice cream in it, of course! The chocolate is always available, as well as a rotating seasonal flavor. This item takes something as simple as an ice cream sandwich and elevates it, with good ingredients and interesting flavors, to something a little bit fancier and a whole lot tastier!

Croissant (and many other items)

$2.95 and up, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie (EPCOT)

Les Halles Boulaoulangerie-Patisserie Order and Display Case

France really has it going on in terms of good, inexpensive eats. Here, you’ll feel as though you’ve stumbled into a real French bakery where, peering through the glass display cases filled with beautiful breads and treats, you will find quality croissants, plain or chocolate-filled (pain au chocolate), plus other authentic French baked goods like baguettes, beignets, eclairs, and more, for under $5 each. We know this place is Remy-approved!

Potato Barrels

$3.49, Woody’s Lunch Box (Hollywood Studios)

Instead of the same old French fries served with so many theme park meals, Woody’s Lunch Box offers these tater tots as a fun and thematic alternative. In addition to choosing them as a side for your entrée, you can also order them on their own for a warm, delicious, and filling snack. You’ve certainly got a friend in these!

Lunch Box Tarts

$4.29, Woody’s Lunch Box (Hollywood Studios)

Lemon-Blueberry Lunch Box Tart

This dish takes a typical “kid food” (Pop Tarts) and makes it more interesting, more flavorful, and overall, just better. Available all day, these tarts currently come in 3 flavors: chocolate hazelnut (with maple fondant and candied bacon), lemon-blueberry, and raspberry. You might need to make multiple visits or share with your party, because you’re probably going to want to try all 3!

Carrot Cake Cookie

$3.99, Trolley Car Cafe (Hollywood Studios)

One of Disney Hollywood Studios’s classic treats, the Carrot Cake Cookie combines spongy-like carrot cake slices with a cream cheese filling. At $3.99, this may be one of Disney’s best treat deals. The portion size is huge and so it can be split easily, making it an even better value! Hooray for Hollywood!

Classic Donut

$4.50, Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew (Disney Springs)

New to the Disney Springs scene, these delightful donuts have already made their mark! The classic donuts here come in multiple flavors including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and more, some iced and/or with sprinkles. You can also sample the classic flavors with a 12-pack of assorted donut holes for $5, or upgrade to a “funky” flavored donut with more interesting toppings and fillings for $5.50.

Mickey-Shaped Beignets

$4.49, Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter)

If you’ve never had one, it is hard to even explain the deliciousness of this deep-fried French pastry generously topped with powdered sugar, so the best I can do is encourage you to try it! And since we know everything tastes better Mickey-shaped, these are sure to satisfy! Only available at this resort, the 3-piece order is less than $5, unless you want to add a dipping sauce (caramel, strawberry, or coffee) for $1.99.

While it seems like prices are always rising at Walt Disney World, there are still some fantastic foods to be found for under $5. Next time you visit, check some of these out for a delicious and inexpensive treat to really “plus” your Disney day!

  • Love the box tarts!! Had them twice in one day and was sad we didn’t order some extra for the next day.

  • Am I right in thinking that this is the price before tax is added?

    • Yes, all of these are pre-tax prices.
