Celebrate the Holidays With Disney Very Merriest After Hours
Celebrate the holiday season at the Magic Kingdom this year with Disney Very Merriest After Hours! This event, which replaces Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for this year, will take place on select nights at the Magic Kingdom from November 8 through December 21. The limited-capacity event will last from 9:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. and it will include most of the aspects that make Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party so great, along with some of the perks of a Disney After Hours event.
So, what will Guests get to experience during this 4-hour hard ticketed event?
First, we do have the official return of a Disney parade! Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will indeed take place during event nights. The parade will include favorites like Mickey, Minnie, Toy Soldiers, Santa, and more!
Guests will also get the opportunity to see two different fireworks shows. Guests will be able to see the brand-new fireworks spectacular “Disney Enchantment” which will transform Cinderella Castle into a “Beacon of Magic.” They will also be able to see “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks.”
Guests will also be able to enjoy holiday attraction overlays, like The Jungle Cruise transformation into the Jingle Cruise, and Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor will get new jokes for the season. In addition, after the park closes to day guests, Guests will be able to enjoy less time waiting in line for more than 20 attractions including favorites like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, The Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, Space Mountain and more. There will be sightings of Disney characters throughout the park all dressed in their holiday best. Guests walking down Main Street, U.S.A. might catch some magical snowfall. There will be the chance to dance at the Club Tinsel dance party in Tomorrowland. Guests can also enjoy complimentary snacks like ice cream novelties and popcorn, seasonal treats and select bottled beverages, but there will be specialty holiday food and drinks available for purchase. Finally, Disney PhotoPass will offer holiday magic shots.
Event dates are:
November: 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, 23, 28, 30
December: 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 19, 21
Tickets for the 4-hour “Disney Very Merriest After Hours” will grant admission to Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7:00 p.m.
Tickets will go on sale August 20 and can be purchased online or by calling 407-939-7947. However, Guests of select Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, as well as Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort can book their tickets as early as August 17.
This is where things get very interesting. Tickets range from $169 to $229 plus tax for select November-December nights and $249, plus tax on December 19 & 21. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can get a $10 discount on select event dates in November. The good news? You won’t need to purchase an additional day theme park ticket or make a Disney Park Pass theme park reservation.
