Construction Starting to Take Shape at Flamingo Crossings

As we noted back in October (Flamingo Crossings Project Finally Moving Forward?), work on the Flamingo Crossings project at the western end of Walt Disney World is well underway. Currently under construction are two large hotel buildings: one for the SpringHill Suites Orlando (with 248 suites) and the other for the TownePlace Suites (with 250 suites and studios). The area across the street from these hotels is fully prepared for development, with paved roads, traffic lights, and sidewalks. There is still no word when the retail development will begin, however. The hotels are scheduled to open in early 2016. Flamingo Crossings is located in the area just west of State Road 429 near Western Way, to the west of Walt Disney World property.

  • Great article.

We really hope they add a cut through toad ftom the US27 by Tradd’s Landing to the new 429. That would be brilliant for us.
