Ahoy, mateys! I’m Heather, and I’ll be bringing you the up and coming on all things Disney Cruise Line. Welcome back again this week. Let’s see what’s new in the DCL world!
Disney Cruise Line: In The News
DCL has begun to reach out to booked guests regarding steps being taken to protect passengers from the Coronavirus. The health questionnaire required by guests at the time of check in at the port has been updated to determine exposure in the past 14 days. Guests who have traveled from or through mainland China within the past 14 days will not be permitted to board. Additionally, guests who are traveling to the Bahamas (including Nassau and Castaway Cay) will not be permitted ashore if they have been to mainland China in the past 20 days.
It’s only natural that the best dining experience on a Disney ship would have the best of the best at the helm. Chef Arnaud Lallement, who collaborated on the exquisite menu at the French-inspired dining experience, Remy, was recently named one of the 10 best chefs in the world. Magnifique!
Disney has launched a beautiful website that highlights Lighthouse Point. There’s a lovely concept map of the island – it’s not full of intricate details, but there is so much there to give us an idea of what this is going to feel like! You’ll want to bookmark this site and check back as things progress!
The following films are being shown aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships this month:
- Captain Marvel
- Disneynature: Penguins
- Avengers: Endgame
- Toy Story 4
- Lion King
- Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
- Frozen 2
- Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
For future reference, films debut on Disney Cruise Line the same day of their initial release in the United States. Films do vary by ship. Show times are available in your Personal Navigator or the official Disney Cruise Line app.
Here’s this week’s special offers. Most every week of the year, Disney Cruise Line releases special offers for Florida Residents and U.S. Military Personnel. There are also frequently IGT/OGT/VGT rates available for all guests to book. These offers are extremely limited in availability, and all come with certain restrictions, but the prices are amazing! You can book these online, on the phone, or with your travel agent. These are the current offers available this week:
