Ahoy, mateys! I’m Heather, and I’ll be bringing you the up and coming on all things Disney Cruise Line. Welcome back again this week. Let’s see what’s new in the DCL world!

Cruise News

Probably should have placed that hypothetical bet last week…okay, it wasn’t quite on target with another Monday announcement. This one came earlier than expected on Friday. The Magic, Dream, and Fantasy all saw cancellations extended through May 17. The communication sent to guests and travel agents cite that this round of cancellations comes in line with the latest direction of the CDC, who has called to further suspend passenger cruising. Here’s the roundup on the dates affected:

Disney Magic
April 30, 4-night Bahamian
May 4, 4-night Bahamian
May 8, 3-night BahamianMay 11, 12-night Eastbound Transatlantic

Disney Dream
May 1, 3-night Bahamian
May 4, 4-night Bahamian
May 8, 3-night Bahamian
May 11, 4-night Bahamian
May 15, 3-night Bahamian

Disney Fantasy
May 2, 7-night Eastern Caribbean
May 9, 7-night Western Caribbean
May 16, 7-night Eastern Caribbean

Just like with the previous cancellations, guests may elect for a 100% refund, or take a 125% future cruise credit. You can check out our future cruise credit FAQ to help answer your questions!

The cancellation of the Transatlantic sailing definitely opens up many questions about the fate of the European sailing season for the Disney Magic. Time will tell…but it may not be long now until we learn the fate of the summer for the Magic.

Okay, how about some news that doesn’t involved the word cancelled! Pop some popcorn, grab a beverage and gather everyone on the couch for a show! The talented crew of the Disney Dream is treating us to a peek at parts of the amazing onboard production of Beauty and the Beast, which you can view here on YouTube.
