Disney World Annual Pass Sales to Resume on April 20
The headline says it all – the day some of us have been eagerly awaiting is soon to arrive. Disney World is resuming sales of three Annual Pass tiers beginning in the next few weeks. It’s been a while (over a year!) since new APs could be purchased, so we’ve got refresher details of the pass types, requirements for purchase, and prices below.
Annual Pass Types
All pass types require theme park reservations and have limited amounts that they can make at one time on a rolling basis. However, those limits do not apply when combined with a stay at a Disney World resort; Passholders can make a park reservation for each day of their stay in addition to their “rolling reservation” allotment.
After April 18, 2023, reservations won’t be required for Passholders entering the parks after 2 p.m., except at the Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays.

Should You Buy?
If you’re a Florida Resident, you likely already have a good idea of the math. If you’re coming from out of state, maybe not so much. We last ran the numbers in 2021: When Should You Buy a Disney World Annual Pass? – Out of State Edition. We’ll be updating that in the next couple of weeks with the detailed numbers, but it’s almost certain that the conclusions still apply:
If you visit for two trips of 4 days or more within a year and you can purchase the Sorcerer Pass, you should. If you visit for three trips of 4 days or more, the Incredi-Pass will pay off; if your regular ticket would just be a hopper then this pass might pay off on the second trip so double-check.
If you regularly visit Disney World once a year for a week and you time your trips to get a second one in right before the Pass expires, you won’t save money doing this unless can you buy the Sorcerer Pass. At every tier, two 7-day tickets are cheaper than the Incredi-Pass. (You should price your specific dates to be sure, given that base ticket prices vary with the date.)
If you do a lot of dining or buying, or you plan to drive to the parks, an AP might make sense (for at least one member of your party) even if it’s not saving you money on tickets.

This announcement comes as we ironically decided to down grade to Pixie after being grandfathered into Pirate the past 2 years.
Pixie and Pirate are not bad passes! I know people are out off by the blackout dates. But like this week is blacked out and I would not be at Disney.
