Disney World Free Dining Offer for Disney+ Subscribers

It’s been a long 4 years, but Free Dining is back! With a twist … on this first offer, you need to be a Disney+ Subscriber to sign up. See below for details, plus other things to know and think about. Not a Disney+ subscriber or not sure this is the right offer for you? See available Disney World Discounts.

The Offer

Starting Jan. 3, 2024, Disney+ subscribers can get a FREE dining plan when purchasing a non-discounted 4-night, 4-day Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a room at a select Disney Resort hotel and theme park ticket with a Park Hopper option. This offer is valid for arrivals most nights July 1 through Sept. 30, 2024.

  • Must book 4-night, 4-day stay vacation package
  • Must purchase Park Hopper tickets
  • Must purchase the same ticket length and ticket option for everyone in the room
  • Must be a Disney+ subscriber in the United States or Canada

Guests at Value and Moderate Resorts, including the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, receive the Quick Service Dining plan for everyone in the room for free, and can pay the difference to upgrade to the Standard Plan. Guests booking the offer at Deluxe Resorts and Disney Vacation Club Villas Resorts receive the Standard Plan for free. Free Dining also has never been able to be combined with other discount offers.

Offer excludes the following room types: 3-Bedroom Villas, The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Bungalows at Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Although Annual Passholders are normally able to book the Dining Plan without tickets, this offer requires the purchase of a Vacation Package that includes tickets with the Park Hopper Option.

For 2024, the regular price of the Dining Plan is

  • Standard Dining Plan: $94 per adult, $30 per kid (that’s full price), not including tax and gratuities
  • Quick Service Dining Plan: $57 per adult, $24 per kid (full price), not including tax and gratuities.

What to Expect When Booking

If you’re trying to book this offer, the first thing you should expect is to wait. The screenshot below is the Virtual Queue I had to wait in to even look at the Offers page, and that was just from the announcement that there would be a Free Dining offer that you can’t even book yet. My wait time was under a minute, but you can expect longer times. The good news is that this Virtual Queue process usually works smoothly and keeps the site from crashing; overall it is a less frustrating experience than “drop days” for Free Dining offers in the past.

The most important thing to know is that you must be logged in to My Disney Experience with the same email that is associated with your Disney+ subscription. If those are not currently the same, we presume that is at least part of the reason that Disney has announced the offer 24 hours in advance – to give time to get that worked out. You can also contact your favorite travel agent to discuss booking with them, especially if your Disney+ ID is not the same as your My Disney Experience ID.

This is what you’ll likely see on January 3, except your wait time will be much longer.

This Might Not Be Your Best Deal

If, like me, you have zero desire to use your My Disney Experience password as your Disney+ subscriber ID because you don’t want to hand it out to all your kids who need to login on their devices, good news! Disney has also released a raft of room discounts for an even wider range of dates. For the general public, you can save

  • up to 30% at select Disney Resort hotels when you stay 5 nights or longer most nights March 25 through July 7, 2024
  • up to 35% at select Disney Resort hotels when you stay 5 nights or longer most nights July 8 through October 3, 2024.

For the general public, that is an exceptional offer, and savings on 1-4 nights are also available. There are also Annual Passholder and Florida offers covering some of those dates. This offer might be the one that saves you the most money. You’ll need to do the math, but it’s not uncommon to find that

  • Larger families do better with free dining
  • Smaller parties do better with the room discount

Since room discounts are typically larger for higher tiers of resorts, that may also play into your calculations.

There’s also a current Kids Play & Dine offer that includes dining and ticket discounts for kids. New! 2024 Discounts for Kids at Walt Disney World and Disneyland
