Disney’s Arendelle Aqua Color Trend is on ALL THE THINGS
You know the drill by now, every few months the powers that be at Disney choose a color and then put it on ALL THE THINGS: tees, jerseys, ears, bags, jewelry, and, drumroll please, CROCS! We found all these items at MouseGear in Epcot, but they will available throughout the parks and resorts.
This time around the color of choice is “Arendelle Aqua.” I guess, given the Arendelle nomenclature, that this is supposed to evoke thoughts of ice palaces in the frozen north, but the word “aqua” confounds this. Ice is aqua, but this aqua doesn’t look like ice.
Arendelle Aqua is the blue equivalent of rose gold – a pale tint mixed with metallic. The blended metal here is silver rather than gold, which unfortunately often reads as gray, giving a muted and vaguely dirty cast to some of the items, particularly those with sequins. Personally, I also prefer autumnal colors at this time of year. Why not Cinderella pumpkin spice gold? Or Pirates red? Nevertheless, Arendelle Aqua is the hue of the day. Get your cameras ready.
