Don’t Skip the Lines Chat!

If you’ve been a TouringPlans Subscriber (Liner) for any amount of time, you’ve probably discovered the Lines Chat feature.

Once you’re signed into the app, you’ll find the Chat feature on the bottom menu. Take a scroll when you want to check out of real life scary stuff for a while. You’ll find fun threads like the Christmas tree that our fantastic Liners pass along to one another, trip reports, and real time pixie dust encounters. The majority of chat surrounds tips and tricks shared between subscribers. You’ll find anything from what shoes are best in the parks after knee surgery to what parks are better on hard weather days. If you haven’t taken the time to lurk around, I highly encourage you to do so. The image above is an example of a very useful trip planning thread about the incoming cold. I’ve taken the recommendations from a few of our very experienced and real-life lovely folks, youcanfly and snowdiz, and added links to other TouringPlans tools that can help make your Walt Disney World visit fun and comfortable.

The initial chat question from skemp says “What do you think is the best park to visit in the cold temps? We arrive late Monday night, first park day is Tuesday.”

Forecast from WeatherBug

I know many of you live in places with real cold, but this is as close as folks living in Central Florida get to blizzard conditions. We are weak and soft. The temperatures shown for skemp‘s trip are downright frigid for us. Side note- this is also a real life plot point when planning your Disney trip. We’re kinda also known for hurricanes, afternoon thunder storms, and the most terrible heat and humidity. So, even if this exact forecast isn’t impacting your vacation, you may glean a few tips for your own voyage. Onward.

TouringPlans Crowd Calendar

If you’re on this blog, you’re not a Type B or C person. You’ve likely had your park days plotted, Lightning Lanes planned, and breaks set. If you’re thinking weather may derail those plans, check out our Crowd Calendar to see crowd levels for each park on the day of your visit. The image above shows January 31st – February 2nd, when skemp is visiting. Crowd Levels for Animal Kingdom are elevated because folks are headed to visit Dinosaur before it closes forever.

EPCOT has the lowest Crowd Levels for this time period and Hollywood Studios is only showing a Crowd Level 6.

Hollywood Studios Details and Lightning Lane Availability from TP Crowd Calendar

If we take direction from the Liners on chat, we’ll select the date we want to visit on the Crowd Calendar – Monday, February 2, 2026. The image above shows the hours for Hollywood Studios that day, as well as prices for park tickets, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass. We also track parties, entertainment, and special events by park.

Before you decide whether or not you should spend the money on Lightning Lanes, check out the handy Lightning Lane Availability Tool on our website. This shows the next available Lightning Lane by ride, time, and date. If skemp is able to Early Entry rope drop Hollywood Studios, we would recommend buying the Single Pass for Rise of the Resistance and hustling to the rest of the big rides by following one of our 16 Premium Touring Plans. We nearly always endorse a LLSP for Rise because of downtime issues.

What TouringPlans Tools do you use when trip planning? Do you share them on Lines Chat?
