Featured Items at Amorette’s

One of our favorite places to get a sweet treat at Disney Springs is Amorette’s Patisserie, home of the most gorgeous cakes this side of Paris.

Right now, they’re offering two signature desserts: Amorette’s Rose and a Hazelnut Eclair.

Amorette’s Rose, $8.00

Having consumed more cupcakes in the last two weeks than I have in the last 10 years, I feel confident when I say this was the best baked chocolate anything I’ve had in ages. The cake wasn’t that dry, boxed mix taste you sometimes get in the Disney parks cupcakes. It was beautifully baked and more gorgeously decorated than many wedding cakes I’ve seen. The chocolate taste in the mousse was a real chocolate flavor. Nothing artificial or waxy in the entire bake!

I’ve saved the best for last. The raspberry cognac center. Oh, dear. Are there words to describe this gem? I am thinking of naming my next child or pet after this semi-jellied, sparkling raspberry surprise in the middle of this red, chocolate rose. Please make time to stop in at Amorette’s to watch the very talented pastry chefs / artists and then settle in to this ode to chocolate and raspberry.

Hazelnut Eclair, $6.00

If you love hazelnuts and eclairs, you’re going to be very happy with this classic from Amorette’s. Delicious chocolate creme fills this beautiful choux pastry, but the topping takes the cake. (See what we did there?) Candied, toasted hazelnuts and edible gold leaf make the entire experience worth the price! You get crunchy, chewy, creamy, and fancy all in one tiny and scrumptious package!
