First Look at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Wow! That’s all we have to say! Today, Disney shared a first image, as well as other details about what to expect with the new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction, which is slated to open in Walt Disney World on December 5 and at Disneyland on January 17.

When the attraction officially opens, Guests will be put into the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. You will join the Resistance and depart from Batuu in a transport ship to meet General Leia Organa at a secret rendezvous point. But, as tends to happen, something goes horribly wrong! Your ship will be captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. You will then attempt to seek to escape the clutches of Kylo Ren and the First Order and may be able to do so with the help of some heroes of the Resistance via escape pods. Your escape pod will then drop out of the bottom of the ship and you will fly back to Batuu.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be one of the most ambitious, advanced and immersive experiences ever and it is also one of the largest Disney has ever created. Its massive show building is a world unto itself, housing two full-size AT-AT walkers and a Star Destroyer hangar bay that includes a TIE fighter and a number of Stormtroopers.

This attraction is going to be next level bonkers, I just know it!
