Get to Know: Tike’s Peak at Blizzard Beach

Blizzard Beach water park has an area just for younger children, Tike’s Peak. This area is reserved for guests 48″ and under. Most kids will pass this height by age 8, so it’s the place to be for preschool and early-elementary-age guests.

The water is shallow here, wading depth for adults and no more than waist high for most preschoolers, with plenty of opportunities for splashing. There are also child-size slides, both standard and tube slides, and ample beach area nearby where parents can keep a watchful eye. Child-size life vests are available to borrow.

Have you visited Tike’s Peak? Do you have any tips for fellow guests? Let us know in the comments.

  • One tip: If your child is like mine, and needs a straw with every drink, and you get the standard line, “There are no straws anywhere in the park,” buy a juice packet. They have straws!

  • Love this area of Blizzard Beach as well as the Ski Patrol Training Camp for tweens. You don’t have to be right by the side of your child every minute as there are ample deck chairs and lines of sight to keep an eye on your child, and there are many lifeguards here watching for their well being, too. There is only one way in and out of these area, making it that much more easy to supervise.
