Lamplight Lounge to Open in Pixar Pier

One of the places that people hated to see close with the switch of Disney California Adventure‘s Paradise Pier to Pixar Pier, was the closure of the Cove Bar. This place was a fan favorite, that typically had lengthy waits just to get in.

Well, when Pixar Pier officially opens on June 23, Guests will still be able to visit this hot spot, but it will now be known as Lamplight Lounge. (Get it….after the Pixar lamp!) Lamplight Lounge will serve California casual gastro-pub cuisine as well as unique signature cocktails. The lounge will feature a full bar as well as waterfront views from both upstairs and downstairs. Oh and yes, the lobster nachos will remain.

The design of the building will be enhanced. The end result will be an open, airy and bright place that is organic yet sophisticated. In addition, the lounge will celebrate the creativity of those who have brought Pixar’s stories to life. You’ll see concept art, sketches, collectibles, knick-kacks, toys, and more.

Guests wishing to visit the Cove Bar one more time are welcome to stop by as it reopens briefly beginning March 16 before closing again at the end of May for its permanent transformation.
