Late Arrival Testing in the Magic Kingdom
We tested a late arrival in the Magic Kingdom today to see how many rides we could get done without Early Entry, Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP), or Lightning Lane Single Pass (LLSP).
Six Rides, 163 Minutes in Only Standby Lines:
- TWO LLMP Tier 1 attractions
- Three LLMP Tier 2 attractions
- One LLSP attraction

The Magic Kingdom Crowd Level was a 5 today, as shown on the Lines App screenshot above. You’ll find a rolling 10-day outlook on the app and a 12-month Crowd Calendar on our website.
Our tester arrived at her first attraction at 10:00am. Early Entry was 8:30am today and regular entry was at 9:00am. Since Early Entry guests are allowed into the park at 7:45am on 8:30am Early Entry days, our tester was 90 minutes behind the first guests of the day. While we encourage the use of Early Entry, it’s not always possible. Hence, the testing today.
Rides and Wait Times

Our tester used the Lines app to capture all of her actual wait times today. First up, Big Thunder Mountain. Not only did Big Thunder reopen 5 days ago after a 16 month closure, but it’s a Tier 1 Lightning Lane Multi Pass Attraction. LLMP was $32 per person today in the Magic Kingdom = $34.08 after tax.
Reminder: Don’t stop the timer until you’re about to enter the ride vehicle. Our tester stopped her timer when the gate in the picture above swung open for her to board the train.

Our tester saved $55.38 in Lightning Lane charges and was able to get on 6 attractions in around 4 hours on a Crowd Level 5 day. Does this sound like a reasonable Touring Plan to you? Do you prefer late starts? Let us know what you want us to test next!
