New Cirque du Soleil Show Announced for Disney Springs

If you’ve been missing a nighttime show at Disney Springs, I have good news for you. While we knew that a new Cirque show was being worked on to replace the now extinct Cirque du Soleil La Nouba, today, at the D23 Expo, it was announced this would be a brand-new collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Cirque du Soleil.

This new show will combine Disney storytelling and heart with Cirque du Soleil’s signature artistry. The story will feature a Disney animator and his daughter. Throughout the story, she will go on a journey of self-discovery. The show will include animated characters mixed with live performers and will integrate Disney themes throughout.

Previews for this unnamed show will begin March 20, 2020, with a world premiere taking place on April 17.
