New! The Diamond Horseshoe Lounge Has a Walk-Up Bar & the Best Food in the Magic Kingdom!
The Diamond Horseshoe reopened today as the limited-time Diamond Horseshoe Lounge and it’s a real daisy.
Disclaimers: This post is not sponsored. We paid for everything we ate and drank!

The Diamond Horseshoe was home to Jessie and pals during Cool Kids’ Summer and has been transformed into the home of the best food in the Magic Kingdom. Yep. Read on for the details.

A few things to know before we get into the food and drinks:
- Reservations are accepted but not required.
- There is no time limit like at The Beak & Barrel.
- No Annual Passholder discounts.
- Full menu available at the bar.
- All drinks, even non-alcoholic beverages, must be consumed inside and cannot be taken to-go.
- This is the first walk-up bar in the Magic Kingdom! The bar is walk-up only and does not accept reservations.

Charcuterie, $22.00
Cured Beef, Candied Bacon, Smoked Pork, Green Chile Cheese, Smoked Cheddar, and Pickles
The presentation is solid and the flavors are excellent. The bacon is sweet and salty and so nice with the cheese. The fry bread is a fun and on-theme substitute for traditional crackers. The cured beef is truly impressive and is one of the things that makes this one of the best eats in the Magic Kingdom. That gorgeous little pile of expertly cured slivers of high quality beef made us very happy indeed. We hope Disney Culinary is allowed to roll out more of this and less “chicken-tenders-in-sauce” items.
This charcuterie is a win and if you’re only looking for a few delicious nibbles with your cocktail, this should be it.

Glazed Sticky Ribs, $16.00
Glazed in Barq’s® Root Beer served with Cowboy Beans and Jalapeño Crisps
Ok, fine. You need to try these ribs, too. The Culinary CM back in that kitchen is a rock star for this glaze. The edges of the ribs are a whisper away from crunchy and so sweet, just until you snag a bit of the Jalapeño Crips! The meat is tender ~ who among us has ever thought to describe Magic Kingdom food this way?!?! ~ and it’s going to take you a second to remember you’re sitting in a theme park because these ribs are that good.
The Cowboy Beans are hearty and taste like they’ve been simmering for hours, in the best way. That charred spring onion is the perfect garnish, too. We sincerely hope Disney allows this kind of creativity, attention to detail, and obvious skill to thrive in the Magic Kingdom. Also, box up those Jalapeño Crips and let us buy them, please!

Chipotle Chicken Tostada, $14.00
With Queso Fresco, Lime Crema, and Pickled Cactus Salsa
You’re going to look a happy mess when you eat these tostadas, but you have to give them a try. We’re very nearly over the “chipotle” menu items on every menu, but these can stay. As founding members of the Disney Saucier Fan Club, but that Lime Crema is 10/10 and they can drip it over everything for us. Three hefty servings make this worth the money for us.

Sweet Golden Corn Fritters, $12.00
With Red Chile Honey
So simple and so good. This is the perfect way to soak up some of the bourbon we’re going to suggest you try further down. Zoom in on the crust for some visual joy.

Queso Fundido with Barbecue Burnt Ends, $15.00
With Warm Tortilla Chips
Throw a pretty pile of burnt ends on anything and we’re satisfied, but drape them on top of some melted cheese?!? Love. This is a small-ish but really wonderful serving.

Mini Hot Dog Platter, $12.00
Wrapped in Pastry served with Tortilla Chips and a Side of Queso
If we are forced to name a “skip” on this new menu, it would be the Mini Hot Dogs. They’re good, just not as wonderful as the other 5 food items. This may be just the ticket for picky eaters, though.

Cactus Rose Margarita, $17.00
Lalo Blanco Tequila, Prickly Pear, Lime, and Agave
Beautiful and a bit strong, but that makes the price easier to swallow. Ha.
In Holiday Fashion, $19.00
Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Rosemary Syrup, Cranberry, and Cinnamon
The only thing we love more than a tequila drink is a wonderful bourbon! This is Christmas in a glass and you get to walk away with a cinnamon-laced buzz. We’ll get this one again.

Enchanted Grove Lime Splash, $6.29
Minute Maid® Limeade paired with the revitalizing flavors of Cucumber and Mint
This was the only non-alcoholic beverage we tried and it was just fine. The mint garnish is simple but we like that it adds a little flair.
Other alcoholic beverages include 4 other specialty cocktails, 3 wine selections, and 4 picks for beer.
We love to see a win and Disney has one with this menu. Please give it a try on your next visit and let us know your thoughts!

Wow! I was not expecting them to make this an awesome place! I absolutely love the review of these items and hope they continue to roll out delicious treats and drinks!
