New Mickey Shorts Theater Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Today, Disney announced that they will soon be adding a reimagined venue to Disney’s Hollywood Studios called the Mickey Shorts Theater. This theater location will open in the spring and will likely tie into the wacky world of Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts that will be found showcased in the upcoming attraction at the Chinese Theater – Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

There’s no word on what will be shown in this new theater, nor have they shared where the theater would be located. If I had to make a guess though, they said it would be in the park’s theater district, and there’s only one spot that seems to make sense to fit that description. That’s the former location of the Star Wars: Path of the Jedi…also known as the former Sounds Dangerous location. While I’m not 100% sure that’s where this will go, the theater there is empty currently and it’s in the seemingly correct area. (And they did mention the area would be a reimagined venue.)
