While we’re just hours away from Halloween, let’s be honest, it’s already time to start with Christmas. I mean, I was just in Walt Disney World and at Universal Orlando Resort this weekend and both are already having the festive holiday creep in. And it needs to creep in quickly, once that last Halloween Party ends because Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starts up just eight days after Halloween with the first party on November 8.

Now, while not much is new this year for the party, there is one thing you might want to consider experiencing and that’s Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party. Now what is this soiree? Well, during the special event, Guests will be able to partake in specialty sips, light bites and irresistible sweets at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. They will also be able to enjoy Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade in a reserved viewing area on Main Street U.S.A.

As far as the menu goes, Guests will be able to enjoy savory options like a selection of artisanal meats and cheeses as well as Tony’s famous meatballs, mini hand-tossed pizzas, boursin-stuffed artichoke and more. If you’re wanting to satisfy your sweet tooth, Guests can eat pumpkin tartlets, Yule Logs, cannoli, Christmas cookies, and red velvet cupcakes. There will also be a selection of complimentary beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages available.

Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party will take place from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and will cost $99 plus tax for all Guests. Admission to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is required to attend. Check-in will take place at Tony’s Town Square podium beginning at 2:00 p.m. Now, the dining offerings are served inside Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, however Guests will be able to head to the viewing section in Town Square prior to the start of the 11:00 p.m. Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade.

So, if you’re looking to have a plussed up experience during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, this is definitely a great option to consider.

  • I’d love to know more about the reserved viewing area. Is there any seating? Last year when we attended the Star Wars dessert party , we were herded into a very small area behind a large group of people and asked to sit on the ground—no curbs or anything. There was no place to park strollers. It was VERY crowded and uncomfortable! The party itself was fabulous!

    • Hi Melody —

I decided to grit my teeth and spend my paycheck to take my family to it tonight. There will be a review of it, including info about where the seating area is, on Monday morning.

The things we do for our kids! 🙂

  • The cost is ridiculous. Six of us ate at the California Grill in 2017 and the cost was less than $100 per person.

  • I was truly surprised how many people book sit-down meals on party nights. With there being savory options on this instead of just a dessert menu, I do think it could be a good option to do instead of a sit-down meal. If you’re spending $75 per person for a meal at Crystal Palace, and you can choose this for your meal (which includes “free” alcoholic beverages that you’d have to pay OOP at Crystal Palace) and only pay $20 more (which I’d gladly pay for reserved seating), it actually does come out to be reasonable.

Or, for apples to apples, a typical meal at Tony’s will run you about $40 per person. Add a couple beers on there for $8 each, and that’s $56. So you’re paying $43 for the dessert party and reserved seating. From that perspective, it isn’t that pricey.

  • Let me understand this. I pay roughly $100 to attend the Xmas party then another $100 for appetizers and desserts for 3 hours and a “special “ place to watch the fireworks. When the 11:00 parade is never that crowded so there are plenty of good spots to watch the parade. So for a couple it’s $400. A family of four $800 for a few hours. Is this not alarming to anyone but me?
Not to mention your resort cost, parking, and park tickets for the rest of your stay.
But the sad part is many people will do it this “extra” cost because it’s Disney.
Wow, I value my dollars too much to shell out that kind of money for a few hours of crowds and desserts.

    • Then why are you following this Podcast and spreading discontent with your comment. There are those of us who enjoy Disney and the special experiences they offer to make each trip a unique experience.

Thank you Rikki, I’ll have to look into this option for our upcoming Disney trip.

      • I follow all sites/podcasts concerning Disney. That’s how I stay informed. I am a Passholder and spend a “lot” of money at Disney World. I’ve done the Christmas party a few times. You get snacks and beverages included. To me an extra $100 (for 3 hrs. ) for a unique experience is not worth it. But you are entitled to your opinion as am I. Enjoy.

      • Sorry Steve but all comments should always be welcome that includes negative ones. Frankly I agree with Janet in that is WAY too expensive for what you are getting and there is nothing wrong with making those kinda comments.
