Twinings Cold Infuse Water Enhancer at Epcot UK Pavilion

During a recent visit to Epcot’s UK Pavilion, I noticed a new item being sold in the Tea Caddy Shop: Twinings Cold Infuse Flavored Cold Water Enhancer.

Despite being sold by a tea company in a tea shop, this isn’t exactly tea–I think. The Cold Infuse Flavored Cold Water Enhancer (yes, “cold” is in the name twice) is basically a way to turn your bottle of water into a bottle of flavored water on the go, with little mess. Think Hint Water, but with a more saturated taste.

The Cold Infuse comes in plastic jars, priced at $9.99, containing 12 infuser sachets each. The available flavors include Pink Lemonade; Lemon, Orange, & Ginger; Blueberry, Apple, & Blackcurrant; Passionfruit, Mango, & Blood Orange; and Watermelon, Mint, & Strawberry.

The instructions are simple. Just add one sachet pod to 16 oz. of cold water, wait five minutes, and then drink it. You can leave the pod in the water to keep enhancing the flavor.

So how did it taste? I took two flavors home with me, Pink Lemonade and Watermelon, Mint, & Strawberry.

For my first try, I measured the water according to instructions, but really you could add however much water you wanted for a stronger or weaker taste.

With the Watermelon, Mint & Strawberry pod, the water turned pink almost immediately and then darkened to nearly red after five minutes.

This flavor was not my cup of tea (ha!), but my husband liked it. The ingredient list includes hibiscus, which I found overpowering, like drinking a bottle full of flowers.

I had more success with the Pink Lemonade flavor.

The Pink Lemonade was indeed pink when fully infused.

The taste was not true lemon, but close enough to many other brands of flavored water that I would have completely believed you if you told me that this was the next big thing.

Our in-park reporter Christina Harrison tried the Lemon, Orange, & Ginger flavor while strolling through Epcot and enjoyed the flavor and the ease of use.

And the pods truly are easy to use. Just throw one in some water and you’re good to go. If you really dislike the taste of Florida tap water and this helps keep you hydrated, then go for it. However, remember that each pod costs 84 cents, so you’re making possibly free water into a for-cost item. But if you were going to buy flavored water anyway, the plus side is that you’re helping the environment by purchasing fewer plastic bottles.

Is this product something you’d try? Let us know what you think in the comments.

  • These still taste of tea. I prefer Vit Stix – individual sachets, available on Amazon. Like a squash but with the benefit of vitamins.

  • Such a deal dah-ling! Buy a $3.50 bottle of water and add an 85 cent cold brew tea bag. It goes great with a $7 mickey pretzel. Voila! Snack time under $20.
Where else can you get some light snacks for your family for under $100?

  • I wish it was there when we were in Epcot. Florida water was horrible my Long Island, NY water so much better. Question why don’t they keep water fountains out of the sun?

  • Ive got the pink lemonade. Got it at Walmart for $3 I think. It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. I’d rather carry a squeezey of Mio (or the great value version!) If I want flavor. Nothing compares to my northern MI well water, but Disney water really doesn’t bug me too much.

  • Does this product use artificial sweeteners like the little drink mix sleeves that you pour into a water bottle or is it truly a flavored water? Can you post a photo of or list the ingredients for the pink lemonade one that you like? I am trying to figure out if this is something new and more natural or is it just a different (fancier?) presentation of other products.

    • I added a photo of the pink lemonade ingredients to the article, but in case it’s hard to read the Twinings website lists the ingredients as: Apple Pieces, Red Hibiscus, Rosehips, Natural Lemon Flavour with other Natural Flavours, Beetroot, Orange Peel, Natural Flavours (Steviol Glycosides).

  • Walmart is also carrying them. For $4.84! And many locations have it in stock on the shelves.

  • Amazon is selling these for $7.00-$7.50 with free shipping – but they are shipping from the UK. 16-30 days to get to NYC.
