The nighttime skies above Epic Universe are now lit up with fireworks and spotlights for Universal Orlando’s new Celestial Goodnight nighttime spectacular. This article covers all you need to know about the new nighttime show, where to watch it, and more.

What is Universal Celestial Goodnight?

Universal Celestial Goodnight is a nighttime spectacular with audio-synchronized fireworks, lights, and fountains. The show’s story is about your travels to the various worlds of Epic Universe and sells this by sampling the music of Nintendo, Harry Potter, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon, and Epic Universe itself. Celestial Goodnight runtimes is approximately 10 minutes long and runs on select nights at park closure.

Best Place to View Inside Epic Universe

The show is presented semi-in the round with a focal point of the Helios Grand Hotel. This can make viewing the show tricky with the effect locations in the show:

🎆 Fireworks launch locations are above the Helios Grand Hotel, Dark Universe, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.

⛲️ Fountains are in the middle of Celestial Park, with the main fountain in front of Helios Grand and a supplimental set of fountains by Constellation Carousel. Fountatins are tall so you don’t need a clear view of the water to see the show.

🔆 Colored lights and spotlights are found on top of the Helios Grand Hotel, in front of the hotel, along the water front, and atop the portals to the worlds in Celestial Park.

Celestial Goodnight’s fireworks are viewable from all around the park but the best locations are inside Celestial Park.

The best location to view the fireworks is in the yellow marked area above. Guests in the yellow spots in Celestial park will have views of the fireworks, Helios hotel lights, and fountains. If you want to sit within the lower bowl near the Cosmos Fountain then expect to show up at least 45 minutes prior to show time and grab a spot with views of the Helios Grand hotel and fountains. Spots in the walkways by Oak & Star Tavern and Meteor Astropub are a good spot to watch the show in a pinch. The walkways around Constellation Carousel are a good location if you want to get a head up on the crowds leaving the park. While you can see parts of the show from ATLANTIC and The Blue Dragon restaurants, they are not good places to watch the show.

Viewing From Helios Grand Hotel

Guests staying at the Helios Grand Hotel can see elements of the show from their hotel, but not the full show. If you’re staying in the hotel and want to see the whoel package you’ll have to enter the park (with paid admisison of course).

Tip: Get show audio through your TV by selecting the Celestial Goodnight channel.

⭐️ Fireworks views for the Helios Grand Hotel are the non-theme park hotel rooms and the pool; only fountains and lights are seen from the lobby overlook, Bar Helios, and park facing hotel rooms.
