Volcano Bay Closes For Refurbishment Starting Tomorrow

Well, the title says it all! Volcano Bay is closing at the end of day today for a winter refurbishment. Universal is planning on the park reopening on or before April 1, 2027.

Universal hasn’t said what work is being done, but we expect a general cleaning, upgrades, and replacement of worn items. We’re also expecting to see some additional cabanas constructed to meet demand, but we do not expect new attractions at this time. While Volcano Bay is closed, check out Aquatica at SeaWorld Orlando instead. If you’re staying on site at Universal Orlando, then consider pool hopping to Cabana Bay, Sapphire Falls, or Portofino Bay.
