but right after I posted this comment, the Disney Visa offer popped up for me under special offers (10/2/23). Before that, it wasn’t listed. Still, no availability for the hotels I am interested in. How long has this offer been out there?
Hi Beth,
The offer is a couple of weeks old, September 19. We do update and republish these articles when offers with similar coverage periods come out, and all four of these were not released at the same time. The AP and the Visa offers came out at the same time on the 19th, and then the Florida Resident and General Public offers came out a week later.
I can’t say for sure what happened to you with WDW’s website, but I have seen cases where sometimes I had a cached version of the page and just could not get an offer that I knew was there to pop up. Especially if it’s a restricted offer that might not have been visible to everyone (like sometimes Disney gets fancy and tries to only show Passholder offers to Passholders), I have seen some weird behavior. So that could have been it. My recommendation in these cases is always to try an incognito window or a different browser.
