10 Things You May Forget to Pack But Can Buy Onboard
We have a saying in our family – other than your passport, if you forgot something, you can buy it when you get there. Of course, there was that one time I actually did forget my passport, but that’s a story for another day… Here are some examples of things you can and cannot buy onboard.
1. Clothes – If you don’t mind Mickey on your clothes, there are a lot of clothes available for purchase onboard. There’s a fairly wide range of sizes as well. If you don’t see what you need, be sure to ask if there are any more sizes in the back!

2. Basic Toiletries – The gift shops carry basic grooming needs like combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, nail clippers, razors, shaving cream, etc. Your stateroom will have shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
3. Hats and Ponytail Holders – The gift shops do not, however, carry things like makeup, curling irons, or flat irons. Some of us consider those basic grooming needs. When I realized my curling iron didn’t work onboard the Wish-class ships, I found that out the hard way! But hey – they sell ponytail holders and ball caps if all else fails!
4. Baby Supplies – Not surprisingly, the DCL shops are well stocked with baby needs. They have baby food, diapers, wipes, pacifiers, baby shampoo, etc. They only have a small number of sizes displayed, but they typically have more in the back.
5. Seasickness Meds – If you forget seasickness medicine, you can purchase some in the gift shop. If the gift shop is closed, guest services often has some or can direct you to the medical center, where they have an ample supply.
6. Pain Reliever – There are other basic medicines like Tylenol, Motrin, allergy meds, cold and flu, etc. You won’t find any medicine for gastric distress, however. Disney wants you to go to their medical professional to be seen if that’s the problem you are having.
7. Swimsuits – It’s a pretty limited selection, but they do have swimwear onboard for sale. Kids’ sizes in particular are plentiful!
8. Sleepwear – Adult pajamas are hit and miss, but there are certainly things comfortable enough to make do!
9. Sunscreen – Perhaps the most important sundry on a sunny cruise? Sunscreen! A big selection of different types is available to purchase.
10. Suitcases – If the worst happened and your luggage didn’t make it to the ship, there are suitcases for purchase to fit all of your new goods in!
What else are you wondering whether or not they carry onboard? Is there anything you’ve needed and haven’t found?
