D23 Expo 2015 has come to an end, and for some people mercifully so. There was a lot of exhausted looking attendees seen around the Anaheim Convention Center today. I used today to take a look at some booths that I missed, and to see some favorites one last time. Here you see “Harold” the original abominable snowman from Disneyland‘s Matterhorn. It’s great to see that he’s doing well in retirement.
With the big announcements at the Walt Disney Studios, and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts taken care of yesterday, Disney Interactive was given its chance to shine. Kingdom Hearts 3 received huge cheers from the crowd and it’s obvious this game is the game will be a huge hit. Baymax joined series executive producer Shinji Hashimoto to announce that a Big Hero 6 world will be included in the game.
It’s no surprise that merchandise was a huge part of D23 Expo. Fans waited over 2 hours to enter one of the many stores located on the show floor. Seen here is the Disney Dream Store where many exclusive items were available for purchase.
A big highlight of the day was the live Silly Symphony concert hosted by Leonard Maltin. Each Silly Symphony cartoon was introduced by Walt Disney and then the music and sound effects were played live by an orchestra.
Disney Legend, Dave Smith appeared presented “Walt Disney World: The Way We Were.” Which was a slideshow looking back on the development, construction, and former attractions of Walt Disney World.I’ll leave you with one last cosplayer who was dressed as Sallah from Indiana Jones Adventure.
