Creating a Personalized Touring Plan + Video

I’m planning a trip to Walt Disney World for myself and three friends. I could not be more excited to share my love of Disney with them. We’re sure to have a wonderful time.

But…did I mention we’re only spending a day and a half in the parks?

TWO days before the 4th of July? Yikes!

Between the heat, crowds and attractions we want to experience in a very short amount of time, a Touring Plan is an absolute necessity. I set to work right away. As I was making my own plan however, I realized it might be helpful to those who use our plans to show you how I did it.

So with that in mind, I made a step-by-step tutorial on how to create your very own personalized Touring Plan. Enjoy!

Do you use our pre-made plans or create your own personalized plans like I did? Let me know in the comments!

You should also show how to move steps around, higher and lower, to manually tweak your plans. Then hit “Evaluate” to show the new times for waiting, etc. But maybe you will have a follow-up video to show things like that? Otherwise – great video!

Brian is posting a video later this week covering that as well as several FAQ. It’s kind of a “Touring Plan” themed week for us on YouTube. 🙂

      Thanks for pointing that out!

The personalised Touring Plans are a great tool. I used them on our last trip and they were really useful. It was great having a real idea of what we were going to be able to achieve each day and the ability to optimise as we were going through the plan meant we always felt we were queueing for the minimum amount of time. I have already set up plans for our next trip, all ready to get those Fastpass+ recommendations with dining reservations incorporated.

You said it perfectly. Seeing the plan laid out eases the worry of whether you’ll be able to see and do everything you want. I find hitting the “optimize” button really exciting because you never know what the waits are going to look like! I personally think it just adds to the fun of planning a Disney trip. 🙂

Enjoy your time trip planning, and have a great vacation!
