5 Disneyland Quick Service Items For Under $10

Disneyland Resort just finished another round of quick service dining price increases. This happens a few times a year so that’s not exactly big news. But if you don’t follow Disney dining prices as closely as we do then some of the prices may surprise you. A basic “Classic Cheeseburger” (found at Hungry Bear Restaurant and other quick service restaurants) is now $11.49, up from $9.99. The Burrito Sonora with Marinated Beef from Rancho Del Zocalo was raised to $12.99 from $11.49. This one hurts: the fantastic Fried Chicken from Plaza Inn is now priced at $17.49, up from an already expensive $15.99. I can go on and on but I figured it would be better if I shared some good Disneyland quick service dining entrees for under $10. Yes, some bargains do still exist.
Corn Dog (Little Red Wagon Corn Dogs – Disneyland, Corn Dog Castle – DCA) – $7.99

Judging by the length of the lines at Little Red Wagon and Corn Dog Castle, everyone has heard about Disneyland’s legendary corn dogs. Their fame is well deserved and thankfully the price hasn’t  gotten too high yet. A giant hot dog covered in a deep fried batter shell probably isn’t the healthiest option in the world, but there’s something about devouring one of these while touring a busy theme park that feels so right.

Sandwiches (Jolly Holiday Bakery – Disneyland) – $9.29 to $9.99

They may not look  like much but the sandwiches from Jolly Holiday Bakery are good quality and decent in size. Another thing I like about them is the variety. The Jolly Holiday Combo pictured above on the right is a grilled cheese sandwich served with a cup of tomato soup. Perfect comfort food. The Albacore Tuna Melt on Sourdough (pictured on the left) or Roast Beef & Smoked Cheddar on Hoagie Roll is also very good options. Even vegetarians have a delicious option with the Caprese on Focaccia Bread, which includes tomato, mozzarella, basil, lettuce, citrus aïoli, basil vinaigrette and balsamic glaze. All sandwiches, with the exception of the Jolly Holiday Combo, include tasty freshly made potato chips.
Baked Potatoes (Troubadour Tavern – Disneyland) – $6.99

Troubadour Tavern’s baked potatoes are a favorite meal of a lot of Disneyland visitors and I think the low price has a lot to do with it. For $6.99 you can a good-sized baked potato with bacon and sour cream, or broccoli and cheese. This is a great option if you’re trying to save money on your Disneyland meals but still want something that will fill you up. Seth enjoys the the bratwurst bacon-infused sauerkraut, which is also available for under $10 at Troubadour Tavern.

Chicken and Beef Skewers (Bengal Barbecue – Disneyland) – $4.19 to $4.49

Due to the portions being so small at Bengal Barbecue we can only recommend it as a snack or to people with small appetites, but wow are the skewers delicious. You probably wont want to eat only one of them but luckily you’ll still be under $10 even if you buy two.

Chicken Verde Cone, or Chili Cone Queso (Cozy Cone Motel – DCA) – $7.49

The Cones sold at Cozy Cone Motel have a generous serving of meat and if you’re in a rush you can easily eat them on the go. The cone they are served inside are made of bread so you can even eat that when you’re done with the guts. We prefer the Chicken Verde Cone over the Chili Cone Queso, but you can’t go wrong either way.

There are other options for under $10 at Disneyland Resort, such as pizza from Redd Rocket’s Pizza Port ($7.49), or  any of the hot dogs from Award Wieners (for around $8). But in my opinion these are the best options. Do you have any recommendations for quick service meals or snacks at Disneyland or DCA? Let me know in the comments below.

  • Do they still serve the cones with the mac and cheese in them? The one pictured looks very good too!

  • Fried chicken is my favorite food in the park. I usually order a la carte at Plaza Inn. I get a chicken breast and a side salad or order of mashed potatoes, and that’s under $10.
