Tickets Available Now for Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire Experience
Recently I told you about a brand new experience that Guests would be able to take part in called Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire. This is a new collaboration between Lucasfilm, ILMxLAB, and THE VOID that will take Guests into the Star Wars world via a hyper-reality experience at two new new VOID Experience Centers. These centers will be found at locations at both Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort and at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Guests will be able to walk freely and untethered throughout the multisensory experience in groups of four. During the mission, under the orders of the budding rebellion, the teams will go undercover as stormtroopers to capture Imperial intelligence that is vital to the budding rebellion’s survival. The experience will take your team to the molten planet of Mustafar. Alongside K-2S0, your team must navigate through an enemy facility where you will walk into danger at every turn. Guests will grab their blaster, solve puzzles, and fight giant lava monsters in an effort to fulfill your team’s orders.
The adventure is slated to take about 30 minutes and costs $29.95 plus tax for each person.
As of right now, the experience will be available from December 16 through February 14 at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. In Disneyland, it will take place at Downtown Disney from January 5 through March 6.

I posted in this thread two years ago and experienced it last year.
My wife, 9 year old daughter (who is tall for her age so she got through) and I were teamed up with a random fourth person. The actual game was somewhere between 5-10 minutes. It’s took at least 10 minutes to get geared up, then another 10 minutes to go through an orientation and a video to set up the game. It’s really hard to tell how much time passed, but I would set aside 45-60 minutes of your day at Disney Springs to experience this.
The actual experience is amazing! You are placed in the first room visors up, then instructed to drop visors down, and suddenly, you and your party are in stormtrooper gear from head to toe! Even your fingers and the fingers of others appear covered in stormtrooper gloves, and they moved independently, and we experimented by asking others “how many fingers am I holding up” and they could see them correctly.
I won’t away spoilers, but in the final room, my daughter said she couldn’t see. I kept asking what she meant by that, but she couldn’t hear, either. My wife and I continued play and finished the game. As we left the play area, The Void techs let us know they detected an error occurring in my daughter’s headset, so all three of us were allowed to play the whole experience again free of charge! Unfortunately for our fourth party member, he was shown the exit.
If you are a Star Wars fan, this is a must-do. Yes, it’s a little pricey and I’m curious how this will compare with Rise of the Resistance in terms of visuals and technology as there is about three years difference between when both experiences will have gone live. Regardless, if you can find time to spend at Disney Springs, the money was well worth it!
This looks like so much fun! Any idea how long the experience will be? I’m guessing about 10-15 minutes based on the time slot choices.
We bought tickets yesterday without knowing about the height requirement. I confirmed this morning that children must be at least 10 to participate (so we will have a very sad younger child!)

I noticed it said parties of 4. What happens with a party of 6? Do 2 go with strangers? Can we split into two groups of three? Can both groups play at the same time slot?

Not sure right now if you HAVE to go in groups of 4 or if you can split up like three and three. I’m sure that you can book similar times if not the exact same time.
We went as 2 parents and 1 child. Preferring groups filled to 4, they added a single young man with us. A young couple soon came in so they sent our solo rider over to join the couple, figuring he’d have a better experience with peers vs tagging along a family.
They might prefer to split a group of 6 into 4 + 2 to easily add another couple. It’s more likely another couple is waiting to board than 2 soloists. Depends who’s waiting or arrives during your time slot.

I found this on the website’s FAQS on height and age limits: “We require all guests to be at least 48″ tall. We also suggest that guests be at least 10 years old or older due to the weight of the gear and some intense content. If a guest is under 18 years old, they will have to have a parent or guardian sign the liability waiver.”
