Disneyland Shares How It Will Enforce Capacity in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

With the introduction of reservation times for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, a lot of people have asked the question of how will people be asked to leave when their reservation time is over? How will Disney prevent stragglers from staying behind? We now have an answer.

According to the OC Register, Disneyland will be issuing colored wristbands to visitors for each of the four-hour windows. There will be a different color for each time frame. Newly-admitted Galaxy’s Edge visitors will mix in with those already in the land. Once the four hour window ends, Cast Members will turn away visitors attempting to enter Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction, Oga’s Cantina, Docking Bay 7, Savi’s Workshop, Droid Depot and other shops.

Oh and for those stragglers who are looking to stay in the land past their reservation time, they may be dealt with by First Order Stormtroopers who will be patrolling the land. (Note from me to you…don’t stay in the land just so the Stormtroopers force you to leave….leave when you’re supposed to. Don’t be that person just to experience it.)

According to Disney, they are planning to keep the wait time for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run down to under two hours. Oh and if the attraction experiences any kind of downtime, accommodations will be made. (No word on what those would be.)

Disney does suggest that Guests not race to the attraction first thing, and instead try to get in line during the second or third hour of their reservation time. Guests should take in the land overall first to disperse crowds. They also don’t want Guests waiting until the last minute to enter the line either.

As a reminder, to enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from May 31 through June 23, a reservation will be necessary. Reservations are gone for general Guests looking to visit the land, but if you still want to visit and couldn’t get a general reservations, there is availability for those staying at the three Disneyland Resort Hotels on property.
