• My husband and I were there opening night. Honestly, this was rather disappointing. For $49 you would expect more options. I also would not spend $29 for a child there either. They really need to have a dessert from every country in the world show case. We made sure we drank a lot of sparkling wine since it was so expensive.

  The dessert party is located right near Mexico.

  Yes this standing room only with cocktail tables out. I would just fast pass illuminations next time. Tomorrowland Dessert is far better!

• Just FYI this is standing room only. There are tables but no chairs. A big disappointment if you ask me. We loved tomorrowland terrace dessert party but I have a 5 and 7 year old and there is no way my 5 year old will be able to stand still at a table for over an hour not to mention being able to really see the top of the table.

• We just booked for March 29th for 2. I hope they have some gluten free options, but even if they don’t it will be a special way to celebrate an adult trip to WDW! We’ve been waiting for an option like this in Epcot. We love the Tomorrowland Terrace dessert party, so this should be another excellent Disney evening.

• This seems to be an all-you-can-eat thing. Does that mean it’s all-you-can-drink too? Alcohol must be included at that price, no? Also, wasn’t that space being used for illuminations FP+?

• I booked mine for the second wednesday in April. The one in Magic Kingdom is great for kids. If your gonna do one of the two for sure and you have kids, that’s probably your best bet. Also Magic Kingdom is limited to only 150 seats per night but I neglected to ask about seating numbers at Epcot. I do know it is limited but unsure of the number.

• I know 10 yr olds are Disney adults but $50 is a lot for kids who obviously won’t be having alcohol.

• We tried looking this up on the reservations page and it doesn’t seem to work. Do they only take reservations by phone right now?

  • The page was up earlier, and went down shortly after I called to try and make a reservation.

• I just tried to book for June. Right now the online calendar is only showing up to June 7, and nothing is available on any night past May 16. I called the dining line to check up on it, and they basically echoed what I found when I tried to book online.

  • That’s odd. When I called this morning, I was able to book for September. (180+10) Maybe your days are booked up, or the CM didn’t know what the event was? I’d try calling again. (The website never worked for me, but calling was easy.)

    • I just booked by phone for August 20th. The CM tried the “usual” way to make the reservation but couldn’t do it. She then went to the park itself and was able to make the reservation. I don’t really know what she meant but it must be some alternate way they can make reservations. Heads up, you have to pay up front like booking Cindy’s. I hope this doesn’t become a trend.

    • I did manage to book for June 13 this afternoon. Right after I called last evening was when it suddenly became unavailable online, so I wonder if that had something to do with me not being able to book last night. The CM definitely knew what the event was, and had said they just started booking so she didn’t think it would be full. The CM I spoke to today seemed to think it was a glitch.

• I’m confused as to where the viewing party takes place? Is this in Millennium Village or perhaps the Biergarden? It would be a crying shame if the Biergarden was no longer available to the average Joe / Jo

  • It is supposed to take place near the Millennium Village area, at least according to the map on Disney’s website. 🙂

    • The dining website was misleading, and I’m sorry for any confusion. For whatever reason, the dining website was listing the venue as World ShowPlace, which IS the former Millenium Village. You would not have a good view of IllumiNations from that indoor space.

      The Disney Parks Blog clarified that Showcase Plaza (the part of the lagoon opposite the American Adventure and closest to Future World) is the venue:

      If you want to pony up the cash, and if the event is not too crowded, that should be a good location from which to which IllumiNations.

    • Thanks David for updating the post. That World Showcase Plaza makes WAY more sense anyway. A much better location for the dessert party.
