Event Calendar: What’s Going On at Disneyland in 2024

If you’re heading to Disneyland in 2023, it’s time to check your calendar! Disney has released the dates of all the limited-time and seasonal events throughout the year. Do you need to plan a trip? Is something happening during a trip you’ve already booked? Inquiring minds want to know!

Disneyland After Dark

Disneyland’s themed hard-ticket events are usually scheduled during the spring and summer. Dates and events will be announced at a later time.

Lunar New Year | Jan. 23 – Feb. 18, 2024

Disney California Adventure hosts a multicultural tribute to Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean traditions. Ring in the Year of the Dragon with Asian-inspired food and beverages and decor. And of course, Mushu leading the way in “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession”.

Pixar Place Hotel Grand Opening | Jan. 30, 2024

The hotel will complete its reimagining and officially “open” as the Pixar Place Hotel. It has remained in operation throughout, however, guests will no longer (in theory) be subject to the disruption of construction. Guests will have access to new Pixar-themed guest rooms, the new Great Maple restaurant, a rooftop pool area, play court and more.

Celebrate Gospel | Feb. 17 & 24, 2024

The 2024 “Celebrate Gospel” concerts will feature Marvin Sapp on February 17, and Tasha Cobbs Leonard on February 24. This annual tribute to Gospel music at Disneyland Park brings together award-winning artists and community choirs from across Southern California.

Anaheim Ducks Days | Feb. 22 – 23, 2024

Who doesn’t love those lovable ducks? Anaheim Duck Days return to Disney California Adventure, with Disneyland and the Ducks teaming up for a two-day event. The festivities in Hollywood Land include a celebratory cavalcade, fan zone, and appearances by a selection of current and past team players.

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival | Mar. 1 – Apr. 22, 2024

Billed by Disney as a “gastronomic extravaganza”, this West Coast Food & Wine event features creative foods (you know it) plus cooking demonstrations and family-friendly entertainment. And it’s not all food: Soarin’ Over California will return for a limited engagement during the festival.

Season of the Force | Apr. 5 – Jun. 2, 2024

Celebrate your fandom! Season of the Force returns to Disneyland Park with themed food and beverage, merchandise (you know it), and more for a limited time. The Hyperspace Mountain overlay will be in place, and debuting during the celebration will be new adventures for Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.

Fantasmic Returns | May 24, 2024

It’s back! “Fantasmic!” returns to the Rivers of America in Disneyland Park. In this iconic nighttime spectacular, guests will be treated to an all-new battle scene between Sorcerer Mickey and Maleficent. But wait, there’s more! The “Peter Pan” scene will also be in place when the show returns.

Pixar Fest | Apr. 26 – Aug. 4, 2024

Pixar Fest brings Disneyland visitors together for a celebration of friendship and beyond. Colorful decor and event-limited menu items, along with a full and extensive lineup of commemorative merchandise, highlight Pixar’s iconic characters and movies all over the resort. Additional offerings are yet to be announced, but some known entertainment highlights:

• An all-new daytime parade, “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!”, at Disney California Adventure park
• “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” at Disneyland Park returns with some all-new scenes.
• new characters such as Ember and Wade from “Elemental,” Red Panda Mei from “Turning Red” and more.

Halloween

Halloween Time | Aug. 23 – Oct. 31

When fall sweeps in, so does Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. This season of spooks transforms the resort with fall decor, seasonally attired characters, and attraction overlays.

Plaza de la Familia | Aug. 23 – Nov. 2

At Disney California Adventure, celebrate the cultural traditions of Día de los Muertos with an even that features storytelling and music from Pixar’s “Coco”.

Oogie Boogie Bash

Disneyland’s fan-favorite Halloween party will be back, with dates and details coming later in the year.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort

We’re running out the clock on the end of the year; Holidays at the Disneyland Resort begins on November 15 and continues into 2025. Celebrate the season with the Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays, plus seasonal overlays, holiday spectaculars, and winter decorations for all denominations.

Date to Be Announced …

We’re all waiting eagerly for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to debut in 2024, but we didn’t get a date for that yet. Keep watching here on the blog and we’ll let you know as soon as we hear!
