Disneyland Crowd Calendar Update For August 2022

Today we are pushing a quick update to Crowd Calendar forecasts for Disneyland Resort. These are to reflect the lower weekend crowds we have been seeing at Disney California Adventure since early August. Some crowd level forecasts are lower at Disneyland Park as well as a result of this update.

Disneyland’s summer promotion for California Residents is impacting crowd levels at the park. We are seeing higher crowd levels on Tuesdays and Wednesdays than Saturdays and Sunday, a pattern that isn’t common, even when you look at previous promotions.

The promotional tickets expire on September 15 so we expect crowd patterns to return to normal at that point. Until then, if you can visit on a weekend in August or September (except Labor Day weekend) you should experience light crowds at both parks.

  • Hmm. We have trip planned for next week with reservations for Tuesday (DCA) and Wednesday (DL) of course. Too late to change, I doubt Monday and Thursday will be much better. I think DL overadjusted if they are seeing way lighter crowds on weekends than weekdays comparatively. Hopefully the “6” levels won’t be too bad, and will be running the Optimize on our plans to see what changes. Thanks for the heads up!
