The Best Food from the 2024 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival
It’s that time of year, the Food & Wine Festival is back at Disney California Adventure! The 2024 iteration features 11 food booths serving up some creative and delicious items to eat as you tour DCA. In this post we’ll highlight some of our favorite items from this year’s festival.
SNICKERS Caramel-Peanut Milk Chocolate Mickey Macaron – $6.75 – Nuts About Cheese
This fan favorite item is back for another year. It’s a gigantic macaron that tastes like a Snickers candy bar. What more could you possibly ask for? This is a good item to share with a couple of people due to its huge size.
BBQ Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese – $9.00 – Nuts About Cheese
Mac & cheese plus pulled pork. What more could you ask for. The mac & cheese is nothing special but the pulled pork was perfectly tender and tasty.
Carbonara-Garlic Mac & Cheese – $9.00 – D-Lish
This is a winner from the Garlic Kisses booth, but I do have to say that I wish it had an even more intense garlic taste. This dish was far better than the usual theme park plastic tasting mac and cheese.
Grilled Top Sirloin – $9.00 – Garlic Kissed
This is probably the most “safe” item on the list, aka one that will appeal most to picky eaters, but it’s still worth talking about. The black garlic chimichurri is *fantastic* and I wish I could dump it all over any meat I consume from now on.
Chile Relleno Empanada – $8.50 – Peppers Cali-Ente
This empanada is one of the highlights of the festival and a returning favorite. It’s delicious and has a nice little kick to it. I had to include a picture of the inside because it was gloriously gooey. Good news, this item didn’t go up in price this year!
BBQ Beef Brisket Slider – $9.00 – Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo
The BBQ Beef Brisket Slider has a lot going for it. Tender and perfectly cooked beef brisket, gooey smoked cheddar, and a soft salt & pepper brioche bun. Sometimes you don’t need anything fancy and a good chunk of meat will do just fine. This is also a great use of a Sip and Savor tab due to its high price tag.
S’mores Caramel Tart – $7.00 – California Craft Brews
This tart includes a graham cracker tart shell filled with gooey caramel and chocolate ganache topped with a toasted marshmallow. I have a huge sweet tooth so I enjoyed this item and consider it the best dessert of this year’s lineup. Be warned, it’s very sweet!
Cheeseburger Bao – $8.50 – California Craft Brews
What if you took the taste of a Big Mac and shoved it in a bao bun? That’s what the scientists at Disney have done here. The only downside is that it’s not a lot of food for $8.50, but it is good.
