The Best Food from 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

Disney California Adventure’s Food & Wine Festival is back for 2025, and with it comes eight food booths and dozens of food and drink items to try. In this post we’ll go over our favorite items from this year’s festival and let you know what’s worth trying out.

Disney opted for a somewhat lowkey Food & Wine Festival this year. There’s only 8 booths, which is down from 11 last year, and 12 the year before. There’s also significantly less items to try. Most locations only have one or two food items and a couple of drinks.

Food and Wine Festival booths are mostly located in the center of the park, as well as many festival items scattered at quick service restaurants around DCA.

Our Recommended Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival 2025 Items

Asa’DOS – Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo – $9.75

This well rounded dish contains a chunk of carne asada, a chicken leg, Spanish rice, mini tortilla and salsa. You can make yourself a little taco with the ingredients or just go to town on it all. Let this dish set the tone for almost every Food & Wine item this year. Meaning it’s good, but safe and not too inventive.

Sirloin Gruyere Mac & Cheese – Garlic Kissed – $9

If you want a decent portion of steak for under $10, this dish is for you. The steak is tender, but the Black Garlic Chimichurri and Garlic Butter Crunch is delicious and makes this one stand out.

Mini LA Street Dog – LA Style – $8

This miniature hot dog is served with Jalepeno Mayo, Pepper & Onion Relish, and Applewood Smoked Bacon. I have many fond memories of grabbing a street dog when exiting Lakers games in Downtown LA over the years, and while this can’t compare to the real thing, it’s still a pretty good little imitation.

Birria Mac & Cheese – Mercado de Antojas $9

Two crowd pleasers in one with birria and mac & cheese. I was surprised that the birria wasn’t too greasy. The onion-cilantro sauce adds some nice flavor while the crushed tortillas add a satisfying crunch.

Musabi Fried Rice – Golden Dreams – $8.50

The item comprised of steamed rice with eggs, glazed spiced ham, umami mayo, and furikake. This dish is labeled as being inspired by Aulani. Musabi is a popular food item in Hawaii and this does a decent job replicating it. A word of warning, this dish is extremely salty so be sure to have a drink nearby.

Cafe de Olla Tres Leches Cake – Mercado de Antojas – $7.75

Our favorite dessert this year is the Cafe De Olla-infused Tres Leches topped with piloncillo chantilly, cinnamon, and a Mickey-Shaped cookie. For $7.75 you get a substantial serving that is easily shareable between a couple of people.

Plant-Based Cherry Cobbler Pot de Creme – Golden Dreams – $7.50

If you’re a fan of cherry pie filling, this one is for you. It also includes vanilla custard and Oat Crumble. It’s not the best dessert this year, but if you’re not a fan of Tres Leches cake and the Mickey Macaron is sold out then this is a good third option.

Mickey-shaped Macaron – Uncork California – $8.50

This fan favorite item is back for another year. It’s a gigantic macaron that tastes like a Snickers candy bar. What more could you possibly ask for? This is a good item to share with a couple of people due to its huge size. The Mickey macaron is so popular that Disney has made it the single food item available at the Uncork California booth this year.

Raspberry Horchata – Mercado de Antojas -$7.50

I’m a big horchata fan and I enjoyed the uniqueness of the added raspberry flavor. The drink itself is made of almond & cinnamon syrups, rice pudding and milk. I do have to bring up the absurd amount of ice in this drink. It was overflowing and there wasn’t as much of the actual drink as I would have liked.

Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew – Golden Dreams – $7.25

This one is for all you coffee fans out there. List of ingredients from Disney’s website: “Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Mexico Origin Coffee, brown butter, maple and demerara syrup, and oat milk with a blueberry sweet cream made with cream, oat milk, vanilla syrup, and purée garnished with cinnamon-flavored cereal crumble (Non-alcoholic).” I don’t drink coffee but the person who drank this mentioned you can really taste the blueberry flavoring. They didn’t think the cinnamon cereal topping was necessary, but they felt overall it was a good drink.

The Sip and Savor Pass is back for 2025. The cost is $32 for 4 items or $63 for 8 items for regular park guests, and $58 for 8 items for Magic Key members. Keep in mind to make the Sip and Savor Pass a good value you should buy only the most expensive items at each food booth. You get 8 tabs to use on food and non-alcoholic beverages. That means each tab is worth $7.86 for regular guests, and $7.25 for Magic Key members. Most non-desserts are $8.50-$10, while desserts are around $7.50. Non-alcoholic beverages are NOT a good use of a Sip and Savor item.

Sip and Savor passes can be purchased at the following locations in Disney California Adventure:
  • Sip and Savor Cart
  • Festival Gifts
  • All 8 Festival booths
  • Elias & Co.
  • Julius Katz & Sons
  • Seaside Souvenirs

If you see a long line at one location, try another. A lot of people will line up at the first purchase location near Carthay Circle but there are other locations with less of a wait a little further up.

This year you also get a free Mickey-shaped plate with purchase of a 8 item Sip and Savor Pass. We have no idea how long these will stay in stock so be sure to grab on early if you want one.
