Big Changes Coming To France Pavilion
Disney has been actively working on making the France Pavilion at Epcot even better and now, we know more details about what’s going on.
First, the Bistro de Paris has been down for a lengthy refurbishment which is scheduled to end in early December. It will reopen with a brand new look, a new name, a new menu, along with a new, less formal feel. The restaurant is expected to be less stuffy with true French cuisine. According to Jerome Bocuse, president and owner of the company that runs Bistro de Paris, “We want to offer a taste of the true cuisine of France – classical, but with an approachable, affordable twist.”
The pavilion will also have a new version of the bakery opening up in mid-December. The Boulangerie Patisserie will still offer great pastry items, but will also feature salads and sandwiches, plus seating for about 90 people when all is said and done. The bakery will be located in the back of the pavilion in a brand new building. Taking over the space of the Boulangerie Patisserie will be the brand new Glacier ice cream parlor.
For those who are wondering, Les Chefs de France will remain the same.
It looks like the new dining experience in the France Pavilion are going to be quite mouth-watering.
Have a reservation for my January trip at The Restaurant Formerly Known as Bistro de Paris. Have to say, I’m mildly bummed that I won’t get to try BdP as it was originally conceived, had always wanted to try it, but this sounds fantastic as well…
Do you know if Boulangerie will be closing at any point during this refurb?
Raise your right hand if you like the French … raise both hands if you are French!
That’s so naughty!
