I plan on going Dec 4th. If there is no celebrity named does that mean there will be no celebrity narrator on this day? Thanks.

They just don’t have one lined up yet for that date. You may want to go back in time to previous articles and see the lineup from years past.
If you really want to attend, I would recommend the package. There is a piece of mind knowing that you have a seat already waiting for you.

Can this work with a dining plan? We already have reservations for lunch at Akershus on Dec 25th (thanks to all the tips and help from touringplans by the way!) through the dining plan so I’m wondering if that’s different from the candlelight package?

Yes! Two Table Service credits are required for those on the Standard and Deluxe Disney Dining Plans.

Do we really need the dining package to get seats? Our daughter will be singing in the performance one night so we do not want to miss but hate to use 2 dinner credits? Also are the seats with the passes better or up close or just guaranteed that we will get seats? Thank you!!!

People with dining reservations stand in a separate queue. They are let into the theater first. They are allowed to pick the seat of their choosing.

People without a dining package are let in after those people are seated. If you have a popular narrator, people will get into that stand by queue 4 hours before the show time.

Summary, it is very possible to get into the theater without a dining package, but you will waste hours waiting in line. You will have to calculate the value of that time and see if it is worth it.
