Candlelight Processional Narrators Announced for 2016
Is the Candlelight Processional one of your favorite things that takes place at Walt Disney World around the holidays? I know it is one of mine. There’s something so incredible about experiencing a mass choir, an orchestra, and a celebrity narrator performing a re-telling of the Christmas Story. This year, the Candlelight Processional will take place from November 25 through December 30 at the America Gardens Theatre found World Showcase at the American Adventure Pavilion in Epcot.
But who will the celebrity narrators be for this year’s event? I have your answer, as almost the full list of narrators has been officially announced.
This year’s narrators include:
- November 25-27: Steven Curtis Chapman
- November 28-December 1: Neil Patrick Harris
- December 2-3: Whoopi Goldberg
- December 4-6: Edward James Olmos
- December 10-12: Robby Benson
- December 13-15: Meredith Vieira
- December 16-18: Jim Caviezel
- December 19-21: Joe Morton
- December 22-24: Ming-Na Wen
- December 25-27: Jodi Benson
- December 28-30: Cal Ripken Jr.
Do keep in mind that celebrity narrators can change at any time. In addition, it appears as though we are still waiting for the official narrator to be announced from December 7-9.
Show times are at 5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:15 p.m. nightly. (With the exception of December 4 which will only have show times at 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.)
For those who would like to guarantee a seat for a particular performance, dining packages are currently available. For guests who do not wish to book the Candlelight Processional Dining Package, a standby line will be available for the show, however those in the standby line are not guaranteed a seat.

So I may not be able to meet my fav celebrity on specific dates since narrators and their schedule can change at any time?
The schedule is set and narrators shouldn’t change, however, what can happen is that sometimes something happens where a narrator cannot make their scheduled performance. For example, this year, Dennis DeYoung from Styx couldn’t perform at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, so Tiffany had to continue performing. It’s exceptionally rare when something like this happens however.
