Celebrities For Star Wars Weekends

For the Star Wars lovers, it’s the most wonderful time of the year!  Star Wars Weekends officially begins tomorrow at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it means that the fans will be out in full force!  The event dates include May 18th –  20th, May 25th – 27th, June 1st – 3rd and June 8th – 10th.

One of the most popular events that takes place during these weekends are the celebrity meet and greets, autograph sessions, and presentations.  You can even catch these Stars in the Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade too.

Each year, there are two Celebrity Hosts and this year they include James Arnold Taylor (the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi – Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Ashley Eckstein (the voice of Ahsoka Tano – Star Wars: The Clone Wars). These two will be your master of ceremonies during each and every weekend.

The scheduled celebrity line up for Star Wars Weekends 2012 include (keep in mind,  these could be subject to change):

Weekend I (May 18 – 20)

  • Ray Park (Darth Maul — Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace)
  • Andy Secombe (Watto — Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace)
  • Dee Bradley Baker (voice of Clone Captain Rex and Clone Commander Cody — Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

Weekend II (May 25 – 27)

  • Andy Secombe (Watto — Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace)
  • Ray Park (Darth Maul — Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace)
  • Tom Kane (voice of Yoda — Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

Weekend III (June 1 – 3)

  • Jake Lloyd (Anakin Skywalker — Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace)
  • Silas Carson (Nute Gunray/Ki-Adi-Mundi — Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace)
  • Catherine Taber (voice of Padme Amidala –Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

Weekend IV (June 8- 10)

  • Michonne Bourriague (Aurra Sing — Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace)
  • Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett — Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi)
  • Daniel Logan (Boba Fett — Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones)
  • Nika Futterman (voice of Asajj Ventress — Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

If you would like to meet one of the celebrities during the weekends, keep in mind that Disney will be using FASTPASS.  Guests will need to arrive early to obtain a FASTPASS, because Disney only has a limited number available per celebrity.   FASTPASS tickets will be available at the celebrity autograph kiosk which can be found outside the front gate to the right of the turnstiles.  Once all the FASTPASS tickets have been distributed, stand by tickets may be issued, but keep in mind that it doesn’t guarantee you the chance to meet the celebrity.  Also, keep in mind that each guests must have their own FASTPASS ticket and Disney will not issue a ticket for members of your party who are not available.

Getting the chance to meet some of these Star Wars Stars is such a highlight for so many fans.  If you are interested in finding out more about Star Wars Weekends, make sure to read my fellow blogger, Ryan Kilpatrick’s post with some great tips and tricks.  Disney has also released the event guides for Weekend I and Weekend II, so those of you who are headed to DHS for the festivities can get a glimpse of what’s in store.

May the Force be with you!
