Choza de Margarita to Open This Week at Mexico Pavilion in Epcot

Choza de Margarita was announced back at the beginning of the year and many were anxiously awaiting the day this outdoor margarita bar would be opening. I can officially tell you that the bar will be opening tomorrow, Friday, November 10. The walk up window was supposed to open earlier this year, but due to the unpredictability of construction, the official opening got delayed.

Choza de Margarita’s menu offers three hand-crafted margaritas. These on-the-rocks options include Acan Grapefruit (Casa Noble Blanco Tequila, grapefruit liqueur, elderflower cordial, lemon juice, cardamom bitters and ginger beer), Guava Pink Peppercorn (Zignum Mexcal Reposado, guava nectar, grapefruit liqueur, lime juice, Peychaud’s Bitters and pink peppercorns), and Lime Cucumber (Avión Blanco Tequila, fresh cucumber, orange liqueur, lime juice and agave nectar).

There will also be three frozen options. Flavors include Lime (tequila blanco, lime sweet & sour, orange liquor and agave nectar), Wild Strawberry (tequila blanco, strawberry and prickly pear puree, violet flower liquor and lime juice), or Passion Mango (tequila blanco, orange liqueur, wild passion fruit and mango puree).

For those looking for non-alcoholic options, there will be a Mexican fruit punch with orange, pineapple and grapefruit juices and a splash of grenadine.

Of course, there will be small bites to enjoy too. They include Tacos al Pastor with grilled pork on fresh homemade corn tortillas with green tomatillo sauce, onion, pineapple and cilantro and Empanadas de Barbacoa with beef, topped with chipotle sauce, Mexican cream and queso fresco. There will also be fresh guacamole with mango chutney, pumpkin and pomegranate seeds, served with fried flour chicharrones and salsa Valentina, an authentic Mexican hot sauce.
