Disney Halts Walt Disney World Annual Passholders Payments Due to Coronavirus

For those who are Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, a number of questions have come up due to the Coronavirus pandemic in relation to your pass. I have a few of those answers for you.

First, for those who have paid for their Annual Pass in full (like I have to – stupid fact I live out of state), Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes will be extended for the total number of days that the parks will be closed. The new expiration for your pass will be able to be found on your Annual Passholder account prior to the reopening of the park.

If, however, you are an Annual Passholder and you participate in the monthly payment plan option, effective April 5, 2020, Disney will automatically stop, as well as waive all upcoming monthly payments while the theme parks are closed. For those who made payments from March 14 thorough April 4, 2020, you will be retroactively refunded payments. Payments will resume on the Passholder’s regularly scheduled payment dates once the parks reopen and Annual Passes will not be extended and will expire on their originally scheduled expiration date.

As an alternative, Guests who are paying for Walt Disney World annual passes using the monthly payment plan may choose to have their monthly payments postponed starting April 5 through the park closure period, and then resumed on the Passholder’s regularly scheduled payment date once the parks open. Postponed payments will be collected in the months following the end of the Passholder’s current scheduled payment term. The pass will be extended the number of days the parks are closed. The new expiration date will be reflected on the Annual Passholder’s account prior to the reopening of the theme parks. More information will be provided soon about this option.
