Here’s detailed look a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (category 4C) located on Deck 6, midship, on the Disney Wish. This room, 6090, has Cinderella themeing in the artwork. The same category room on other decks may have art themed to a different Disney film.

Bathroom

This stateroom category includes a split bathroom, with the toilet and a sink in one room and the shower and another sink in a second room. This configuration allows two guests to get ready simultaneously. The rectangular shower/tub has a glass door that swings either inward or outward. If you’re using the tub to bathe a child, then the outward door position will give you more room and better access to the child.

The shower stall has multi-use bottles of H2O brand shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The shower head can be removed from the wall and the height of the head can be adjusted. There is retractable clothesline that can be extended as a place to dry swimsuits or other damp items.

Towels are adorned with the Disney Cruise Line logo. Each stateroom comes with one dark-colored washcloth to be used for makeup removal. Each room is also equipped with a small sharps container. There is a full body mirror on the shower room door and illumination around the above-sink mirrors in both compartments.

The toilet compartment has a nightlight feature that provides minimal illumination.

There are trash receptacles in both bathrooms. Both compartment have small shelves on the wall and space under the sink to hold toiletries, plus hooks to hold towels or robes.

Primary Bed Area

The primary bed area includes a queen-sized bed. The linens are by Frette; these have a Mickey Mouse pattern woven into the fabric. The mattress is made by Biscayne Bedding International – a 13″ Cayman pillow top model – 65″ x 77″.

There are two lamps on both sides of the bed – one ambient light and one smaller reading light that can be rotated and directed to a specific spot. There are also small nightstands with drawers on both sides of the bed as well as standard U.S. plug, USB, and USB-C outlets.

The TV is mounted at the base of the primary bed. The TV is immobile, it does not pivot to other positions.

The area under the bed is open and available for luggage storage. There is approximately 14″ of clearance from the floor to the bottom of the bed.

Lounge and Secondary Bed Area

The exterior half of the room functions as the lounge and secondary bed area. This room sleeps four guests, two on the main queen-sized bed. The couch folds out into a twin-sized bed. There is an additional twin-sized bed, with a weight limit of 265 pounds, that pops down from the ceiling over the couch/bed. When the ceiling bed is available, you’ll have access to a light and a USB cord outlet. There is artwork above the ceiling bed.

There is a small table next to the couch (which has approximately 74″ of seating space). The desk area has one drawer containing a refrigerator compartment. A small drawer holds a hair dryer and a protective mat for heated hair tools. The long narrow drawer under the mirror holds an emergency information card, two breakfast room service menus, and a pen.

There is shelving and outlets on one side of the vanity mirror. The telephone is wall-mounted in the shelving on the other side of the vanity mirror. A small trash can is inset into the shelving under the phone.

There are four glasses and small tray on the desk area. You can ask your stateroom host or room service if you want ice.

In addition to the couch, there is an upholstered chair with a matching ottoman, as well as a backless stool that functions as seating for the desk.

A full-length mirror is opposite the lounge chair.

There is a privacy curtain that can be extended to separate the room’s two sleeping areas.

Closet

The closet has three compartments, two hanging areas and one shelving area. Lights come on inside the closet when the doors are opened.

The hanging areas come with sturdy wooden hangers, some with clips for holding pants or skirts. If you need more, ask your stateroom attendant.

There are two adult-sized robes in the closet. These are for use during your stay. You can buy robes in the ship’s merchandise shops.

The shelves house your stateroom’s personal floatation devices (life jackets). One of the first things you should do after you enter your room is count the devices and make sure that there are enough of the appropriate sizes for your party. You should inform your stateroom host immediately if the life jackets are not as needed.

The shelving area includes a safe large enough to hold two standard laptops as well as documents such as passports and currency.

The closet shelves also contain a cloth laundry bag and an order form if you want to send out clothes for laundry, dry cleaning, or pressing. You will be assessed a fee if you take the bag home accidentally.

The ladder for the top bunk is stored in the closet when it is not in use.

Verandah

This room has a standard verandah, with two chairs and small table. The verandah is accessed via a sliding glass door.

As a child safety measure, opening the door is a multi-step process involving a lock that is above adult shoulder height. Once the the door is unlocked, the handle must be twisted into an inverted position and then the door can be slid open.

This room is on one of the straight portions of the ship; the view is very slightly obscured by nearby rooms on the curved (or “bump out”) portions of the ship.
