We’re already a month and a half into the 2021 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, and we’ve got nearly three months left to go. While the food and topiaries are the big highlight of the Flower and Garden Festival, there is live entertainment, and presentations. Well, okay, there aren’t that many presentations, but there is one that you shouldn’t miss, especially if you have kids in your party.

Growing the Future Presentation – EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival 2021

The Growing The Future Presentation by ruMata is located in Future World West, near the Imagination Pavilion. It is offered every hour from 12:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. It is great for anyone with kids who loves science.  It’s about 10 minutes long, just enough time to be interesting before crossing the line into boring. The presenters talk about a different aspect of botany and how science is used to help plants grow better.

Fans of Living with The Land will absolutely love this! The presentation Ivonne on our team watched was about soil and how the different types of soil can affect how well a plant can grow. Once the presentation is over guests are given a little kit to do an experiment at home.

Guest Relations Cast Members indicated to us that the Growing the Future Presentation will be a part of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival for the remaining duration. This means you have all the way until July 6, 2021, to catch this short, fun, and informative presentation for yourself.

Besides this small presentation, it is a good time to remind you that there are some great live entertainment acts as part of this year’s festival. Yes, live entertainment is very reduced at EPCOT right now, but you do have the Jammitors to jam out with in the Canada Pavilion, every afternoon. There is also a pianist performing inside World Showplace every afternoon. Shows are every hour from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. I love having the World Showplace pavilion used for the festivals this year. Having live entertainment and three food and beverage booths inside make this a great spot to relax for a while.

Finally, the American Gardens Theater is the center for live entertainment at EPCOT. Beginning at 11:45 a.m. two classic EPCOT entertainment acts take the stage: Mariachi Cobre, followed by Voices of Liberty. Then in the evening during the Flower and Garden festival there is usually a cover band regaling audiences with familiar hits.

While there may not be the full plethora of entertainment options at EPCOT right now, there is still a plenty to enjoy. Whether you want to fertilize your love of science or if you wish to enjoy the sights and sounds of live music, make time in your plan to take part in all the festivities.
