Electric Umbrella and More Now Closed at Epcot
It’s official. The counter service location, Electric Umbrella and all its neon glory has now closed at Epcot. In addition, Pin Central, where Guests could purchase their pins for pin trading is also now officially closed.
For those looking for quick dining now that Electric Umbrella is closed, there will be other locations throughout the park that will provide quick-service dining including Eats at the Epcot Experience which will offer a menu of flatbreads, chicken nuggets and salads and Sunshine Seasons which is now offering burgers.
These closures come on the heels of the recently closed shop Mouse Gear, which has moved to a new location close to the location of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
In addition, due to these closures, Guests traveling through Future World will now need to use one of the new park passageways. Guests wishing to head to The Seas and The Land can use the Future World West passage and there is a new Future World East passage now open which runs adjacent to the side of where Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be.
Stay tuned to the blog to keep updated on the changes that are constantly occurring at Epcot as the park moves towards its revitalization.
Electric Umbrella was always a break/lunch/dinner stop at Epcot. The neon, twinkling lights, and background music of Innovations added a funky groove to our meals for 15 years.
What will happen to the talking trashcan?!?
Why even call it Epcot? Why not “IPs around the World”?
